Good game, could be great. But the mechanics of combat etc when you are not on the ship and just controlling your captain are so terrible it is almost unplayable. If they had either just left those missions out so that you are never off the ship, or done a better job with the "hand-to-hand" (swords and pistols) portion it would be an AMAZING game. But the off ship experience is so bad it makes you not want to play anymore.

I guess this game is just not for me. I'm not going to give it one star, because I feel like this review is from a more biased standpoint, but I just despise games with an "auto" mechanic. Like auto shoot, auto battle, auto sail, auto everything, even if it doesn't say it. Like for example, tapping on the map automatically sails the boat for you. Why? Whenever I an "auto" mechanic, I just think the game isn't fleshed out or fun enough to warrant someone actually playing in the moment.

only problems are on foot. traps are impossible to avoid. enemy always hits with guns. any incoming damage is just wayyy to much. die way to easily. no way to heal. consequences of death are way to high.distances are insane. can't really tell where things are on the map. but they'll never change any of it. just keep tryna make money off it as is.
